SAP APO Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP APO Consultant to join our team and support advanced supply chain planning and optimization projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP APO modules, including Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP), Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS), and Global Available-to-Promise (GATP). The role requires strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP SCM processes and integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and configure SAP APO modules to meet business requirements.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze supply chain planning processes and recommend improvements.
  • Perform end-to-end integration of APO with SAP ECC/S/4HANA (MM, PP, SD, EWM).
  • Develop and optimize demand planning (DP) models using statistical forecasting techniques.
  • Configure and execute Supply Network Planning (SNP) and Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement and support Global Available-to-Promise (GATP) functionalities, including backorder processing and allocation planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP APO-related issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Provide user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
  • Collaborate with SAP IBP teams to support APO-to-IBP migration projects.
  • Work in an Agile/SAFe environment using JIRA, Confluence, and DevOps tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP APO implementation and support.
  • Strong expertise in one or more APO modules (DP, SNP, PP/DS, GATP).
  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA integration.
  • Knowledge of CIF (Core Interface) for data transfer between ECC and APO.
  • Hands-on experience in APO planning engines, heuristics, and optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of LiveCache, BW integration, and SCM landscapes.
  • Experience with SAP IBP (a plus, especially for APO migration projects).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • SAP APO certification (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies.
  • Exposure to ABAP debugging for troubleshooting APO issues.
