SAP Test Lead

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Test Lead to manage and execute testing efforts across SAP projects and support initiatives. The Test Lead will be responsible for defining the test strategy, planning and coordinating test activities (unit, integration, regression, UAT), managing test teams, and ensuring that SAP applications meet the required quality standards before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and own the overall SAP testing strategy, covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT phases.

• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams (SD, MM, FI, PP, WM, etc.) to ensure test requirements are aligned with business objectives.

• Lead creation of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data for various SAP modules and custom developments.

• Manage the end-to-end test lifecycle including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.

• Coordinate with business users and project managers to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Ensure timely test execution and communicate test results and quality metrics to stakeholders.

• Manage and mentor offshore/onshore QA/test teams.

• Work with automation testers to identify opportunities for test automation (e.g., Tricentis Tosca, SAP CBTA, Worksoft).

• Ensure compliance with change management and documentation standards.

• Lead defect triage meetings, assign ownership, and follow up on resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of SAP testing experience including at least 3 years in a Test Lead role.

• Deep understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA modules (at least 2 major modules).

• Proven experience in managing multiple test cycles across complex SAP landscapes.

• Strong knowledge of testing tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.

• Experience in SAP cutover planning and hypercare support from a QA perspective.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

• Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Test Automation tools (Tosca, CBTA, Worksoft, Selenium).

• Background in Agile, DevOps, or SAFe methodology.

• Experience in integration testing with non-SAP systems.

• ISTQB or other QA/testing certifications.
