Europe located SAP FI-CO Consultant with Indian localization experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic SAP FICO Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in implementing, configuring, and maintaining the SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, ensuring that business processes are optimized and aligned with organizational goals.

Key experineces:

1. Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and their alignment with IFRS.
2. GST Configuration in SAP, including tax calculation, returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), and e-way bills.
3. TDS/TCS Configuration for vendor and employee tax deductions.
4. Compliance with Indian statutory reporting requirements, including e-filing and tax return forms.
5. Experience with Payroll Integration for income tax and deductions within SAP.
6. Bank Reconciliation & Integration with Indian banking systems and Electronic Bank Statements (EBS).
7. Country-Specific SAP Settings for India, including tax codes, currency (INR), and statutory reporting.
8. Handling Multi-currency & Intercompany Accounting, particularly with cross-border transactions.
9. Managing SAP System Upgrades for Indian localization (e.g., GST updates).
10. Strong Communication & Leadership Skills for cross-functional team coordination and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business requirements to design SAP FICO solutions.
• Configure and implement SAP FI modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA).
• Configure and implement SAP CO modules, including Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
• Integrate SAP FICO with other modules such as MM, SD, and HR.
• Provide support for end-users, resolve system issues, and implement enhancements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to streamline financial and controlling processes.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users and create comprehensive documentation.
• Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live support.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP FICO implementation and support.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial processes such as GL, AP, AR, taxation, and bank accounting.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA FICO (preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SAP FICO integration with other SAP modules.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in SAP report generation and data migration.
• Certifications: SAP FICO certification (preferred).
