SAP Asset Management Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager to support a major corporate transformation initiative. The project involves the separation of an existing organization into two independent divisions and requires the oversight, optimization, and strategic deployment of company assets to ensure maximum efficiency, compliance, and value realization across the organization.
The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, executing, and monitoring asset management activities, collaborating closely with finance, operations, and technical teams.
 

We are seeking an experienced SAP Consultant with strong expertise in Asset Management (especially SAP FI-AA and related modules) to support a major corporate transformation initiative.
The project includes the separation of an existing organization into two independent divisions and requires a consultant who can design, optimize, and operate asset management processes within SAP to ensure maximum efficiency, compliance, and business value.

The ideal candidate will act as the primary SAP expert for asset-related processes, collaborating closely with finance, operations, and technical teams to deliver a reliable and future-proof SAP Asset Management framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead SAP consultant for Asset Management processes throughout the transformation project.

• Design, configure, optimize, and document SAP FI-AA and related ERP processes to support asset lifecycle activities (acquisition, capitalization, transfer, depreciation, retirement).

• Provide expert guidance on SAP asset management best practices, process integration, and system governance.

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of asset master data, valuations, and reporting within SAP.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SAP processes support efficient and compliant asset deployment and tracking.

• Identify improvement opportunities in current SAP asset processes and recommend optimized solutions.

• Support testing (SIT/UAT), training, and cutover activities related to asset management in SAP.

• Prepare management-ready reports and dashboards using SAP tools for asset performance, risks, and status.

• Ensure alignment with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements through correct SAP configuration and process design.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an SAP Consultant, ideally with a strong focus on SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA) and related SAP ERP modules.

• Solid understanding of asset lifecycle processes and their end-to-end representation in SAP.

• Experience working on large transformation projects, system separations, migrations, or rollouts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into SAP solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Confident English, and Spanish communication skills (spoken and written).

• Experience in asset-related process design, SAP data migration, and cross-functional integration (FI, CO, PM) is highly desirable.
